  • I first hired PCS to assist with development of technology skills for our non-profit partners in Asia Pacific. Under PCS’s leadership this program has grown from a series of ad-hoc events to the in-depth engagement we now have across the region with our non-profit partners. The PCS project managers have great eye for detail yet at the same time also provide strategic advice. I trust PCS’s work implicitly and would not hesitate to give PCS the highest of recommendations.

  • PCS services were engaged to support the Visa efforts to assess the right financial inclusion framework in the Philippines, Vietnam, and Bangladesh. These efforts included the customer financial payment needs research assessments, the relevant ecosystem infrastructures evaluation to include both issuing & acceptance solutions and to define appropriate capacity building initiatives that could drive financial education to realize scale. PCS demonstrated a very good understanding of the challenges in dealing with the underserved, employed the right project management principles to engage stakeholders efficiently and were very flexible in addressing constant change to deliver on market strategy. PCS provided program management leadership efforts that were professional, thought provoking, customer friendly & trustworthy.

  • It has been our privilege and a valuable learning process working closely with PCS. We have benefited from their strategic counsel that led to clearer goals and refined approaches set for our communications work. We are most impressed by their creativity, professionalism and strategic capabilities. Without a doubt, PCS brings significant value to teams and organizations they work with, and we favorably recommend them.

  • We engaged PCS to help us promote our restaurants, Sweet Lulu, across Toronto, and ultimately to improve business. PCS developed a communications strategy to promote our corporate responsibility work, resulting in an international CSR award. PCS followed this up with media engagement, landing top stories on both mainstream radio and television. We attribute a direct increase in sales to the work we did with PCS. We were very happy with their consulting service both in terms of strategy and delivery.

  • I worked closely with PCS for two years to launch NGO product donation programs in six Southeast Asian countries. They represented Microsoft Citizenship while I was representing their principle NGO partner. PCS set clear goals for our work and tracked to them. At the same time, their approach was deeply collaborative so I was always able to provide input and influence the direction. They are consistently capable, creative, and smart. Most impressive was their ability to integrate two very different worlds: the corporate world and that of the NGOs. I highly recommend them for any organization with complex, multi-stakeholder program or project management needs.

Mike Yeaton, Vice President, TechSoup Asia (2011 – 2013)

  • My team and I worked with Pearl Consulting Services (PCS) over two years in the context of the Asian Development Bank’s NGO capacity building in Asia Pacific. As a multilateral development organization, it is valuable to be able to work with partners who work effectively with all three sector – private, government and nonprofit. I highly recommend PCS for any public private partnership project or program.

  • I have had the honor to work with Gillian for four years. One of her best attributes is her absolute enthusiasm for her work. Her energy and passion is contagious and she quite simply is excellent to work with. She’s very organized and though we only get to work together in-person two weeks out of each year, the professional relationship cultivated digitally makes it feel as though we live in the same city even though we are 14 time zones apart. I highly recommend her. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with her work ethic or the results of her labor.

  • I met Gillian Pearl at the SharingValueAsia 2014 Conference and was immensely impressed by Gillian’s expertise, professionalism, and eloquence. As her expertise is very relevant to the course that I was teaching under the Master of Tri-Sector Collaboration degree at Singapore Management University, I invited Gillian to speak to my students in January 2015. Gillian and Jeff Paine, both from PCS gave an excellent presentation on “Measuring Success: Corporate Responsibility and Government Relations – Stories from the field”. My students were enthralled by their presentation. The responses from the students include “absolute relevance to the field we are in, educational, brilliant”.

  • For over half a decade, I have come to count on the expertise and insights of PCS to help me deliver on our government affairs and corporate citizenship projects. I have been impressed by their ability to translate policy objectives into strategy, create focused tactics and their inherent bias for action. In an environment where policy, technology and community expectations intersect, PCS have been able to help us skillfully navigate the politics of business and the business of politics; articulating policy into programs that internal stakeholders immediately see value whilst building relationship capital with our external audiences. PCS achieve all this with the highest degree of integrity and ethics.
